FULLBORN was formed in 2010 in the middle of real-life pressure channeling struggle, instability, and grit into something loud and focused. In their early run, the band released a handful of singles, played shows across Ohio, and shared stages with national acts including All That Remains, Sevendust, 10 Years, and Mushroomhead. By 2012, internal struggles and addiction issues brought the momentum to a halt, leading to the band’s breakup.

In 2017, FULLBORN briefly returned for a one-off reunion sold out show at Alrosa Villa in Columbus, opening for Bobaflex reminding both themselves and their audience what the project was capable of. What followed was an extended hiatus, with members stepping away to rebuild and refocus. Eight years later, in 2025, FULLBORN reunited with a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer mindset.

Now, FULLBORN operates on their own terms, focused on creating music because they want to, not because they have to. The band leans into groove, precision, and intentional songwriting, cutting out anything unnecessary. Featuring Gunther Helfrich (vocals), Hunter Folder (guitars), Zac Peterson (bass), and Jared Kimball (drums/vocals), their sound is tight, aggressive, and direct built on sharp riffs, a heavy low end, and vocals that land with clarity and weight.

Lyrically, FULLBORN stays grounded in lived experience, drawing from addiction, recovery, and faith to shape themes of struggle, resilience, and forward momentum.
